December 1–Update

UPDATE 30,000 children die each day from preventable causes

Notice!!!

There are Matching Paul Harris Funds Available!!

We will begin by making District “points” available to individuals within our
district to encourage them to give “new dollars” to The Annual Programs Fund.
The intent of this program is to make new Paul Harris Fellows in our clubs!

To be considered for this match the individual must send their check (made
payable to: The Rotary Foundation; with their TRF account # on the face of
the check) to District Foundation Chair Johnny Robertson at 211 North Main St.
Red Springs, NC 28377 by Dec. 31st of 2008.

This match will be a 50/50 match with the maximum granted per individual of
500 district “points”. However, we will not limit this to persons with no PHF
funds – if the individual has $300.00 in their account then the district will match
50/50 on the remaining balance to make a new Paul Harris Fellow.

The District will make 15,000 “points” available for this matching period…
please encourage anyone who is interested in your club to take advantage of
this opportunity.

First Priority will be given to those that are fulfilling their first initial PHF.

MEMBERSHIP THOUGHT OF THE WEEK

Create business cards printed with your name, the Rotary logo,
and the phrase “Be My Guest” along with the day, time and
location of your club’s meetings. The cards serve as an invitation
to attend a club meeting at the club’s expense.
How about making a donation to The Rotary Foundation as a
Christmas gift for family and friends.
