The Week Ahead
A warm and sincere thank you to all those attending the DG installation banquet in Kinston Saturday night. A special thank you to my home club, The Rotary Club of Maysville, for your support. You guys are awesome.
Calling all Rotarians for GSE Team Leaders
It’s time to start thinking about GSE Team Leaders. If you would like to lead a team to Trinidad/Tobago next April, please send a completed application to
GSE Chair, Dave Baggett
This truly is an experience that will change your life and give you the opportunity to see Rotary from another perspective.
Don’t forget that our District had 2 GSE teams and they would love to come speak to your club and tell you about their trips. Team Leaders, Mark Lynch and Peggy Turner are waiting for your call. They can help you set up a program with GSE teams to Spain and Mauritius.
Member Access
Go to http://www.rotary.org
You can now enter the names of your Club Treasurer and Club Foundation Chair in the Member Access Portal. Below is a step-by-step description of how to enter in this information. You will not be able to access this information if you or the person you are entering has not already registered on Member Access.
- Log in to the Member Access Portal by going to www.rotary.org and clicking the “Member Access” link in the top right corner of Rotary’s home page.
- Enter your registered unique email and password.
- In the far left column, click “Update Club Data.”
- Once in the document scroll down to the bottom portion of the page until you see the fields for “Club Treasurer” and “Club Foundation Chair.”
- Enter the name of the current and/or incoming person filling the position and enter the term (for current positions, it is 2008-09).
- Click “log out” on the top of the screen. Again, you will not be able to access this information if you or the person you are entering has not already registered on Member Access.
If you have any problems during this process, please call our Contact Center at 1-866-9ROTARY (1-866-976-8279) or email your question to contact.center@rotary.org
Social Networking and the Web
Social networking is not the future, it is here now and you can be sure our youth know all about it. Many of our more mature (I prefer this term verses “old”) are pretty savvy on the web too. I’ve found Rotaractors, RYLA, and Interactors on Facebook. Many of our clubs are also on Facebook and our District has a page as well. Let me hear from you if your club has a site.
