PAST THE BLUE BUCKETS
Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust (CART) has raised over $2.6 million for direct
Alzheimer’s Research since its inception in 1995 by South Carolina Rotary Clubs.
Currently involving Rotary Clubs and Districts in North Carolina, South Carolina and
Georgia, this year the fund awarded $250,000 to the Cleveland Clinic/Case Western
University and $250,000 to the University of Alabama-Birmingham for “cutting edge”
Alzheimer’s Research.
For more information contact District CART Chair, Brian Garrett at bgpg@atmc.net.
THE ROTARY FOUNDATION THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Have you made your gift?
Gift? What gift? Well, the gift to our charity —The Rotary Foundation. Yes, it is early in
the Rotary year, in fact Governor Lee just started serving, so why the rush? Think of it
this way… we, as Rotarians, are leaders; leaders in our Clubs, leaders in our
communities and we expect you to set a good example and start the year off by giving
early to The Rotary Foundation. There is no telling who you may inspire!
MEMBERSHIP THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Members are the basic building blocks and foundation of our Clubs. Without a
sustaining and continuing membership base, Clubs would only be a group of people
meeting on a periodic basis, rather than a group of people supporting a specific
mission with long-term perspective and purpose.
ASK SOMEONE TODAY TO JOIN YOU…
…FOR YOUR NEXT ROTARY CLUB MEETING
PLEDGE REMINDERS:
