October 29th, 2006 in Monday MorningSkip Fry is the New Rotary Foundation Alumni Chair
Welcome and Congratulations to Skip Fry of the Wilmington West Rotary Club who has stepped up to chair the District Rotary Foundation Alumni Committee. Skip’s job is to maintain a database of our current and past Rotary Foundation Alumni, stay in touch with our alumni and encourage them to do programs for Rotary clubs and to join Rotary, and coordinate reunions and activities for the alumni in our district. Who are the Alumni of the Rotary Foundation? — Group Study Exchange Team members, Ambassadorial Scholars, Peace Scholars, and recipients of Rotary Volunteer Service Grants. These are all people who are knowledgeable of Rotary here and abroad and who understand the benefit of the Rotary Foundation. In fact, their lives have changed because of Rotary and they are ready to give back. So why not ask them to become Rotarians? If you sponsored an alumnus, consider inviting him or her into Rotary.

Rotary Foundation Thought of the Week
Brought to you each week by PDG Bevin Wall, District Rotary Foundation Chair; and reproduced courtesy of www.rotary.org
This week’s Rotary Foundation Thought is about becoming a Benefactor.
A Rotary Foundation Benefactor is a person who has notified The Rotary Foundation that he/she has made provisions in their final estate plans, or made an outright gift of US$1000 or more to The Rotary Foundation’s Permanent Fund. Benefactors receive a commemorative certificate, a letter of appreciation and a blue and gold recognition insignia to attach to their Rotary or Paul Harris Fellow pin. A US$1000 gift to The Foundation creates a legacy of helping people lead better lives around the world.
There are over 68,000 Benefactors in the Rotary world today. Are you one?
For more information on giving or program participation, contact PDG Bevin Wall District 7730 Rotary Foundation Chair at Bevin@RLI33.org.
