Riegelwood Update
The Riegelwood community at this time is overflowing with clothing. There has been an outpouring of clothing and food. The greatest need at present is for financial aid, housing, transportation, and counseling.
Jesse Jacobs (8 years old) has been released from Pitt Memorial and transported back to New Hanover. Cayenne Brown (3 years old) is in Chapel Hill Children’s hospital and has been upgraded to serious. Her father and grandparents were killed. Christopher Freeman (8 years old) remains in critical condition at Duke. Christina (18 years old — last name not known) is in New Hanover Memorial in stable condition. There’s one more child at Chapel Hill — name and condition unknown at this time.
Checks can be mailed to me or directly to “Wesley UMC Tornado Fund”, PO Box 116, Riegelwood, NC 28456. If mailed directly, please inform me of your contributions.

Rotary Foundation Thought of the Week
Brought to you each week by PDG Bevin Wall, District Rotary Foundation Chair; and reproduced courtesy of www.rotary.org
This week’s Rotary Foundation Thought is about becoming a Paul Harris Fellow.
When you complete your first US$ 1,000 gift to The Rotary Foundation you can be named a Paul Harris Fellow — or choose to name someone else. Your first US$1,000 is a very important benchmark because it gets you started on the lifelong journey of supporting our Rotary Foundation. Each time you reach another US$1,000 level, a new recognition pin is awarded. While some donors are capable of giving US$1,000 at once, many Rotarians make smaller gifts regularly to reach higher PHF levels. Every Rotarian, Every Year is a reminder to all of us to donate generously to the Foundation and to do so annually.
For more information on giving or program participation, contact PDG Bevin Wall District 7730 Rotary Foundation Chair at Bevin@RLI33.org.
