“Rotary Shares” — Rotary International (2007 - 2008)

Another Reminder–August is Membership and Extension Month

Remember, one of our District Goals this year is that our District have a net gain of one member per club. Please make sure that your Club activities include plenty about Membership growth. If we are to grow our membership we have to “lead the way” and “lead by example.” We cannot delegate this responsibility–somewhere in your community is someone who wants to be a Rotarian. But, they have to be asked–they have to be invited to a Club meeting and they have to be invited to join. It will not happen by accident. Find a way in your club to jump-start a membership drive during August. Please don’t wait for someone else to do it for you. For more information and for help contact our District Membership Chair, PDG Johnny Robertson at 910-843-5211 or E-mail johnsfuel@earthlink.net.

Rotary Foundation Thought of the Week

This week’s Rotary Foundation Thought is about the new Rotary Center for Peace and Conflict Studies in Bangkok, Thailand.
