“Reach For The Stars — Learn About Rotary”

Successful Membership Seminars

Many thanks to PDG Johnny Robertson, District Membership Chairman; PDG Bevin Wall, our Zone 33 Membership Coordinator; and Bob Stinson, District Trainer for our very successful Membership Seminars. The programs were well organized and meaningful. And many thanks to Assistant Governors Andy Chused, David Pearson, Mark Lynch, and Magda Baggett for making necessary arrangements, selecting the meeting places and making sure that everything went according to plan. And our grateful appreciation to Club Presidents and Rotarians for supporting these District functions by attending and providing excellent exchange of information and comments. Our District is a better place because of the things you all do.

Keep Thinking About Membership

Collect business cards from individuals who attend a meeting as a guest or speaker and send a follow-up note or postcard thanking each visitor and inviting them back. Check our Rotary vendor catalogs and order a packet of Rotary postcards for this purpose.

Don’t Forget This District Goal

One of our District Goals this year is that every Club send at least two Rotarians to the Zone 33 Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI). For more information about this very powerful program that teaches Rotary knowledge and makes it fun while doing so, go to www.rli33.org.

Use Our District Calendar–Club Presidents–take the time to post your upcoming fund raiser events on our District Calendar so we all will know about them and can have the opportunity to participate. Its easy to do at www.rotary7730.org.

Weekly Rotary Foundation Fundraising Strategy

Some like to drive, but others prefer to fly. Two generous Rotarians from the Barrie-Huronia Rotary Club in District 7010 (Canada) donated frequent flyer miles–enough for two lucky winners to fly anywhere in the world on Air Canada–business class!! Raffle tickets were sold for $20.00 each. The club raised $4,000 with proceeds benefiting the Annual Programs Fund of The Rotary Foundation. (For more information, contact Ken Robinson, 705-739-7557).

Give “Every Rotarian, Every Year” the opportunity to support our Rotary Foundation. For more information on devising a strategy for your club or on district giving or program participation, contact our District Foundation Chairman, PDG Bevin Wall at Bevin@RLI33.org.
