David Pearson grew up in Swansboro, North Carolina and graduated from Swansboro High School with Honors in 1982.

In 1988 David married Pamela Cameron (Paul Harris Fellow) and today they have two children Jessica 18, (Paul Harris Fellow) and Kristen 15 (Paul Harris Fellow).

David attended Coastal Carolina Community College in 1982 and in November of 1983 earned his Real Estate License and began a career in Real Estate. Today he operates Realty World Swansboro Properties.

David’s Community Involvement is extensive, he is active with Swansboro schools, civic clubs and local parks.

David is currently the President of Swansboro Schools Century Club, Inc. (a non-profit 501-C-3 Organization) dedicated to enhancing the facilities and programs of Swansboro Schools Athletic Programs.

He was elected to serve as Swansboro Town Commissioner from 1996 through 1998 and sat on the Onslow County Economic Development Commission from 1997 - 1999

He is a Member of the Jacksonville Board of Realtors, Inc. where he served as a Director from 1992 – 1997, then as Vice President in 1998 and as President in 1999.

As a Realtor, he served the North Carolina Association of Realtors as a State Director in 1998 and 1999

He is also a Member of the Carteret County Association of Realtors, Inc. & the National Association of Realtors

David is also active at Hammocks Beach State Park where he Founded Friends of the Hammocks and Bear Island, Inc. (a non-profit 501-C-3 Organization For the support of Hammocks Beach State Park) in 1992

He is currently the President of Friends of the Hammocks and Bear Island, Inc. and has been on the Hammocks Beach State Park Advisory Board since 1992.

In 1995 the State of North Carolina recognized David with the North Carolina State Parks Special Achievement Award for his service to the State Parks System.

David has been a member of The Swansboro Rotary Club since January of 1988.

He has served his club as a Director from 1990-2000, as club treasurer from 1990-1992, as club secretary from 1992-1993 and as Club President in 1998-1999

He was a member of the organizational team that established the Swansboro Rotary Foundation, Inc. (a non-profit
501-C-3 Organization) that owns the Swansboro Rotary Civic Center. And he served as it’s secretary for several years.

David was instrumental in started the Swansboro Rotary Club’s Caring for Kids Program in 1994 and also served as Chairman of the Memorial Day Fishing Tournament in 1998.

He, his wife and children are all Paul Harris Fellows and they hosted the GSE Team from Japan in 1995.

His district involvement includes being the Secretary of Rotary District 7730 Foundation, Inc. in 1993 and serving as District 7730 Treasurer in 1995-1996. In 2005 he served as the RAD Chairman for District 7730.
