Nancy Barbee has been a member of The Rotary Club of Maysville since 2000 and has served as secretary, vice president, and president for two terms, International Service chair, and Communications Officer.

She was instrumental in establishing a library at St. Anthony’s School in India as a project for her club. She also established a Twin City partnership with The Rotary Club of Dhanbad, India and was a guest speaker at D3250’s District Conference in Orissa, India.

Nancy is currently the Webmaster for District 7730 website. She has served as the Annual Program Fund Chair, Assistant Governor, and on many district committees. She is a Sustaining Member, Paul Harris Fellow, and Paul Harris Society Charter Member and a Benefactor.

Nancy attended Peace College and East Carolina University. She holds a B.S degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s in Library Science from East Carolina University. She is a retired educator with over 30 years of service at Maysville Elementary School in Maysville, N.C. She resides in Pollocksville, N.C.

Nancy owns and operates MindMaker Solutions, a web design company whose expertise is web standard compliance and conforms 508 code for people with disabilities. Nancy has recently accepted a position as Sales Consultant for Follett International for India.

She serves on the Board of Directors for the Jones County Economic Development Commission and the new economic commission focusing on Rural Internet Authority. She has served on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters and as chair of Jones County Advisory Council. She serves on the Jones County Technology Committee. Nancy has established and is Chair for the United Way Jones County Task Force on Substance Abuse.

Nancy has three sons. Gabe has been living and teaching English as a second language in China. Josh is a computer consultant at Camp LeJune in Jacksonville, N.C. and partner in MindMaker Solutions. Bryce is working in Maysville and lives at home.
