Bangladesh, will study at University of North Carolina — Pembroke for the 2006-07 academic year working toward a Masters in Business Administration.

For the past four years, Mohammad Aminul Karim has been an Assistant Professor and Lecturer in the Department of Finance and Banking at the University of Chittagong in Bangladesh. Mohammad is 30 years old and is married. He earned a Bachelors of Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration, both in Finance, both degrees from the University of Chittagong.

The Rotary Scholarship Interview Committee in Mohammad’s home District 3280 has given us the following information about him: Mohammad has an excellent command of the English language and is an excellent presenter. He possesses great compassion for the poor and illiterate, a strong will to work toward better world understanding and peace, and respect for cultural differences.

Mohammad’s ambition is to work in development projects in government or in international organizations such as the World Bank, or the Asian Development Bank, whose mission is to fight poverty in Asia and the Pacific.
